Emerald Green: the Wedding Color for 2013

Attention all brides, green is in this year!

Pantone, the “world-renowned authority on color” announced emerald green as the color of the year back in December. Crossing industries, emerald green will have an impact on the fashion, beauty, and home interior industries this year. This can only mean that the wedding industry will also see an increase in requests for the gemstone color along with other variations of green.

 The color green is often associated with growth, renewal and prosperity. Leatrice Eiseman, the executive director of the Pantone Color Institute® stated, “Symbolically, Emerald brings a sense of clarity, renewal and rejuvenation, which is so important in today’s complex world.” Green is also representative of growth, harmony and freshness, the perfect color for weddings, in my opinion anyways!

From invitations, bridesmaid dresses, accent colors, wedding accessories and even beauty products, emerald green will certainly make a statement at weddings nationwide.  Whether you are planning a spring, summer, fall or winter wedding, emerald will work in any season.
